F.A.Q for Sitting & Overnights

What Is The Difference Between A 24-hour Stay And An Evening Sleepover For Overnight Pet Sitting?

A full 24 hour stay means that your furry friend will have someone at the house at all times with minimal departures (popular choice amongst animals with severe seperation anxiety).

An evening sleepover means that your furry friend will be taken care of in the morning and be left alone during the day until 6 PM in the evening when their caretaker returns to the house (good choice for animals who are used to being alone during the day while their parents work).

What Is The Difference Between Pet Sitting and Overnight Stays?

Pet sitting includes scheduled check-ins throughout the day to feed, walk, and care for your pet, but we do not stay overnight.

Overnight stays involve us staying at your home overnight to provide care, comfort, and companionship for your pet while you’re away.

Both options are designed to ensure your pet’s needs are met, so you can choose the service that works best for your situation!

Are You Available on Major Holidays?

Yes, we are available to provide services during major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years, Labor Day, Memorial Day, etc.)! We understand that travel and busy schedules often coincide with these times, so we’re here to ensure your pets receive the care and attention they need.

Please note that holiday bookings may fill up quickly, so we recommend scheduling in advance to secure your spot.

In-Home Vet Tech Services

As veterinary technicians, we offer professional in-home support services for pets who need a little extra care outside of the clinic setting. Whether your pet is recovering from surgery, managing a chronic condition, or simply needs help with routine wellness, we provide gentle, skilled care in the comfort of your home.

If the service you need isn’t listed, please don’t hesitate to reach out and tell us about your situation. We’re more than happy to assist in any way we can!

Please note that while we are experienced veterinary technicians, we are not veterinarians. These services are non-diagnostic and do not replace veterinary care. We do not prescribe medications. We work alongside your veterinarian’s instructions to provide safe, supportive care.

At-home blood glucose (BG) curve checks

If your pet has been diagnosed with diabetes, regular blood glucose curve monitoring is an important part of managing their health. We can provide professional in-home BG curve checks to help you and your veterinarian track your pet’s glucose levels—without the added stress of a clinic visit.

🐾 What’s Included:

  • 5–7 hourly blood glucose readings over the course of the day

  • Gentle, skilled handling for minimal stress

  • Food and/or insulin administration at the start of the curve (if approved by your veterinarian)

  • A detailed chart or spreadsheet with time-stamped results to send to your vet

  • Quiet supervision and comfort care between readings

⚠️ Please Note:

This service does not include diagnosis or insulin adjustments. All data collected will be provided to your veterinarian, who will interpret the results and advise on any treatment changes. We work as a supportive, skilled partner in your pet’s care—not a replacement for veterinary oversight.

📝 Requirements:

  • Pet must have a current diabetes diagnosis and be under the care of a veterinarian

  • You (or your vet) must provide clear instructions for insulin and feeding

  • Glucometer and strips should be provided by the client, or we can supply them for an additional fee

  • A signed consent form is required before your first session

Please note that we are not groomers, and do not have a mobile station. Pet parents will need to provide a suitable area in their home with access to a shower or tub for the service.

F.A.Q for Technician Services

Can You Trim My Pet's Nails If They're Reactive?

We understand that nail trims can be stressful for some pets, and we are experienced in handling reactive animals. We will make every effort to ensure your pet feels safe and comfortable, using positive reinforcement with treats, calming techniques, or muzzles if needed.

However, your pet's safety and the safety of our team are our top priorities. If the situation becomes too stressful or unsafe, we will stop the nail trim and recommend trying again at a later time, possibly with the assistance of a vet-prescribed sedative. Our goal is always to keep the experience as positive as possible for everyone involved.

Can You Cut My Dog's Hair?

While we can assist with paw trimming or minor face trimming, we do not offer haircuts, as we are not licensed or trained groomers. Our focus is on providing safe, stress-free basic grooming services for your pet.

Do You Recommend My Dog Gets Their Anal Glands Expressed Since It's a Service You Offer?

As experienced veterinary professionals, we provide internal anal gland expression which is the method used in veterinary clinics—not the external technique used by most groomers.

We recommend this service only for dogs who regularly require it and are accustomed to having it done by their veterinarian. For dogs who have never had their anal glands expressed before, we advise against starting unless it is medically recommended by your veterinarian. Most dogs naturally express their glands on their own, and unnecessary intervention can sometimes cause issues over time.
